Mercedes shows new AMG E Class - the E63

Mercedes has released shots of their next gen AMG E Class, the E63. And as usual, this looks like it’s going to be a monster. 518hp will be transferred to the road through a seven speed dual clutch setup. This transmission has a race start mode (sweet) as well as more mundane everyday modes (comfort, sport, manual). Yet the E63 should rip 0-60 in a scant 4.4 seconds,

Different intervention levels of the stability system will be offered to test your skill. This promises to be a fine ride in stock form. But in case the standard version isn’t enough, AMG will offer a performance package (isn’t anything with the AMG badge already packing performance bits?) that stiffens everything up, adds a locking diff, and raises the fun governor to 186MPH.

Also, for those who like to slap badges on their stock rides to pretend they have something that they don’t, a new badge will adorn this car as well.

That is the nicest E class I have ever seen. However, I think the E550, with its 5.5 Liter V8 has enough power, without the six-figure price tag.

Thanks. Check out my blog. It has only one post, but hopefully I will put more in the coming weeks.
